MouseCop's 2019 Season Preview

It has been another long, yet busy offseason for the MouseCop organization. With the roster being expanded to 8 slots, along with another coaching change, the 2019 MouseCops look to improve upon their record last season of 2-1.

Lawrence Santos, who was head coach during the 2018 season, came out of retirement to fill up the new 8 player format in the league.

Alex Lashlee, the team's female starter, was released during the offseason.

Free Agent Sihwan Kwak signed a 1 year $10 million dollar contract with the team. Sihwan played in the league last season, and while he was eliminated in the first round, his solo performance on the court impressed scouts, leading to his signing.

Mariah Alvarado was named as the team's female starter this year. She signed a 1 year $7 million dollar contract with the team.

In addition to these new signings, the following players signed extensions over the offseason.

All 2 year deals come with a club option after the first year.

Patrick Rim - 2 Years, $30 million

Ryan Tseng - 2 Years, $30 million

Andrew Leong - 2 Years, $30 million

Ammar Khakoo - 2 Years, $25 million

Riley Sanidad - 1 year, $7 million

General Manager Elijah Toledo signed a 1 year extension with the team with a club option available for 2020. This will be his third year as general manager.

Derek Borja, who was assistant coach for the team last season, was promoted back to the head coach role for 2019.

MouseCop will open up the season against Project Friendship on Monday, March 4, 2019 at home.
